Nine Members of international delegation stay behind in Gaza
Nine members of the 60-member aid delegation to Gaza with Craig and Cindy Corrie have decided to stay back in Gaza several extra days until this Sunday, March 15, and one member, Palestinian Abdullah al Ghoul, was detained at the Rafah border and will attempt to leave early next week.
The Corries, parents of 23-year-old Rachel Corrie, who was struck and killed six years ago this month by an Israeli bulldozer while trying to block the demolition of a Gazan home, are among those still in Gaza. [Read more…]

International delegation gains entry to Gaza for International Women's Day
The parents of Rachel Corrie were among a group who entered Gaza to deliver aid and witness the aftermath of the Israeli siege on the most densely populated place on Earth
Cindy and Craig Corrie, parents of Rachel Corrie, joined a 60-member aid delegation organized by CODEPINK which was granted entry to Gaza through the Egyptian border crossing at Rafah on Saturday. Remembering Rachel Corrie on March 16 in Olympia
Please join us in remembering and honoring the life and work of Rachel Corrie. Rachel was killed in Palestine on March 16, 2003 in Rafah, Gaza.
Rachel was crushed to death by an Israeli military Caterpillar D9 bulldozer.Six years after Rachel’s death her story continues to resonate with people throughout the world. Rachel was born and raised here in Olympia, creating a unique and special relationship to Rachel, her work and to Palestine.
Join us at The Olympia Center, March 16th at 6pm in rooms 101-102. We will begin the evening with a community potluck, please bring a dish to share and enjoy with others. Beverages, utensils and plates will be provided. The potluck will be followed by music performed by Seattle singer/songwriter and activist Jim Page. We will then show a short video clip of the recent destruction in Rafah, followed by a community discussion focused on people’s reflections six years after Rachel’s death as well as other topics. The evening will conclude with a walk to the waterfront for a vigil.
