We agree with Rachel that it is important to make commitments to people and places. We will continue the commitment to Gaza that she initiated and intended to maintain.
Our Gaza work is direct support for people in Gaza — resources, youth sport and performance, and academic support for children.
- RCF Gaza Resource Page — a living collection of materials on the people of Gaza, the siege of the Gaza Strip, and Gazans living in exile.
- Rachel Corrie Gaza Sport Initiative — annual Ramadan football tournaments for young men and juniors, and the Rachel Corrie Tournament for Athletes with Disabilities.
- Palestinian Cultural Palace – Youth Performances — arts and culture programs for young people in Gaza, in partnership with the Women’s Center–Rafah: theater, performing arts, and creative writing.
- Samira Project — academic and psychological support for economically disadvantaged and learning-disabled children in Gaza.
Earlier work: the Maia Project — water purification units built in Gaza in 2011 and 2013 in partnership with the Middle East Children’s Alliance.
