Beginning after Rachel’s death in 2003, students and faculty at The Evergreen State College maintained a memorial exhibit in Rachel’s honor. This memorial included readings for visitors to learn more about Rachel’s story, posters and pictures celebrating her life, and places for visitors to leave notes reflecting on how Rachel’s story touched them. Along with the notes left at this memorial, many people inspired by Rachel’s life sent letters, poems, art, and articles to the college, her parents, or the International Solidarity Movement (ISM), which Rachel was working with when she was killed. Here you will find a selection of these documents which convey just a portion of the impact that Rachel has had on her community in Olympia and all around the world.
