Posted on September 17, 2024

Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, an international solidarity activist was tragically killed by Israeli snipers in the occupied West Bank on September 6, 2024.

Economics for Everyone (E4E), Palestine Action of South Sound (PASS), and the Rachel Corrie Foundation invite you to attend “Murder on Stolen Land: Aysenur Ezgi Eygi and the Struggle Against Israeli Occupation”, a panel discussion on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at Moving Parts Studio (302 Columbia St NW Olympia, WA).

Join us as we commemorate the life of Aysenur, a recent University of Washington graduate, who was protesting against settlements in the town of Beita when Israeli forces opened fire on demonstrators.

We will discuss the history of resistance against Israel’s ongoing expansion into the West Bank.

Panelists will include:

Rose Y. is an Evergreen State College graduate student who recently travelled to the West Bank in an International Solidarity Movement (ISM) delegation with Aysenur Eygi. Rose will speak about Aysenur Eygi’s murder and Protective Presence in Palestine.

Imad Ahmad is a Palestinian-American whose family hails from Beita and who has spent extensive time in the area. Imad will outline the innovative strategies being employed in the fight against Israel’s land theft.

Steve Niva is a professor of Middle East politics at The Evergreen State College and former editor of the magazine, Middle East Report. Steve will explore the broader strategy of Israeli settler colonization in the West Bank.
