My Name is Rachel Corrie will open march 19 on Unicorn Theatre’s Jerome Stage in Kansas City. Featuring Katie Gilchrist as Rachel and directed by Herman Johansen, the play runs through April 12.

Katie Gilchrist, a popular Kansas City actress, is proud to be working on this remarkable and challenging project.
This is her first appearance on the Jerome Stage, but she has appeared on the Unicorn mainstage in previous years. Her favorites here include: Lobby Hero, Bug, Painted Alice and Rabbit Hole. Katie has recently appeared at Metropolitan Ensemble Theatre as Meg in their Script-in Hand performance of Crimes of the Heart; as Hedda in the mainstage production of Hedda Gabler and as Jennet in The Lady’s Not for Burning.
Katie also works as a teaching artist for the MET, and just recently directed the Staged Readings production of “Harold and Maude.”
She has appeared at the New Theatre, The Coterie, the Kansas City Rep, and with ATKC in last summer’s Translations. She is a graduate of the UMKC Graduate Actor in Training Program.
Martin Tanner Productions is a currently working with the Unicorn Theatre in Kansas City and the Vandivort Theatre in Springfield (MO) under special arrangement.
My Name is Rachel Corrie will run for 4 weeks at the Unicorn Theatre on the Jerome Stage March 20 – April 12, 2009, followed by a 3 week run in Springfield at the Vandivort Theatre 2nd Stage, April 16 – May 2.All seats are general admission. Regular ticket prices are $21.00. Unicorn Theatre subscribers receive a substantial discount.
