UW SUPER’s Palestine Awareness Week at UW

February 13, 2017 - February 17, 2017

February 13-17th, UW Students United for Palestine Equal Rights (SUPER) will be hosting four fabulous events to raise awareness for the Palestinian struggle for liberation and what we can do to help. There will also be a mock apartheid wall on Red Square throughout the week, made in collaboration with Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlán (MEChA), resembling the Israeli apartheid wall and the US-Mexico border wall. The weekly schedule is as follows:
Monday Feb 13th – 5 pm

Lecture by faculty and community members.

Screening of critically acclaimed Slingshot Hip Hop

Wednesday Feb 15th – 5 pm
Palestinian Cultural Resistance & Solidarity Night
Our biggest event of the year! A night of cultural resistance including poetry, music, and dinner. Featuring guests such as Remi Kanazi and Lena Khalaf Tuffaha.
