Palestinian Childhood Under Occupation – an educational, inspirational event

All are invited, no charge

Donations for Defense for Children International and Gaza Community Mental Health Program gratefully accepted.

Come to learn: 

  • How military occupation, arrests, detention, siege and wa impact children’s health, mental health, education, and future.
  • How we can best advocate for justice for this entire generation who has only experienced occupation and war.

  • Dr. Mona El Fara — Physician and human rights activist who works with Middle East Children’s Alliance and the Palestine Red Crescent Society
  • Dr. Sami Oweida — Child Psychiatrist at Gaza Community Mental Health Center

In person –

  • Jennifer Bing and Brad Parker, National Organizers of the No Way to Treat A Child campaign. This campaign seeks to raise awareness and support activism about Palestinian children facing arrest and detention by the Israeli forces.
  • Marlene Eid, Psychologist, Professor at PCC
  • Comments from several local youth from Gaza
