On the anniversary of the nuclear bombing of Hiroshima in 1945, and the bombing of Nagasaki three days later, organizations around the world gather to recognize the danger of nuclear weapons and remember the only time nuclear weapons were used in war.
As a member of the Olympia Coalition to Abolish Nuclear Weapons, and Washington Against Nuclear Weapons, organized under the auspices of Washing Physicians for Social Responsibility, we join other organizations in actively opposing weapons and recognizing the danger they pose.
