Want to be a part of Peace Works 2014? Help us by becoming a co-sponsor!

Dear Friends,

We are pleased to announce that the Rachel Corrie Foundation for Peace & Justice will host our 2014 Peace Works Conference April 19th. Yet Again as Captives: Mass Incarceration in the U.S. and Palestine is a day-long conference featuring acclaimed activist and academic Angela Davis and human rights attorney and activist Noura Erakat  as our keynote speakers. The conference will also include a day of plenaries and workshops aimed at addressing the plight of Palestinian prisoners and connections to mass incarceration in the United States.

Our budget for this project will be significant. We anticipate covering a portion of our expense through registration fees, but hope to keep these as low as possible to encourage attendance by a broader spectrum of participants. Therefore, we are seeking assistance from individual and organizational co-sponsors. We ask that you and/or your organization consider supporting these efforts with a financial contribution.

As a co-sponsor, your organization can receive special mention in event promotions and materials. Also, we are offering advertising and free tickets as incentives that are listed below. In addition, tabling for organizations that co-sponsor will be available at the conference. Please note that tabling that includes the sale of items requires an additional $40 (this is a fee required by the College). Tabling with informational materials only would not incur an additional fee. To register to table, please contact our office at (360) 754-3998 or email [email protected].

Should you desire further information or want a representative from our conference planning committee to meet with your group, please contact our office at (360) 754-3998 or email [email protected].

We anticipate that this conference will be meaningful locally, regionally, and nationally. We are immensely grateful for your willingness to consider joining us in making this possible. Thank you for your time and consideration of this request.

In solidarity,

Rachel Corrie Foundation Staff
