DESCRIPTION:Join us at our weekly Olympia peace vigil on Friday. We continue to advocate and stand together for peace\, a permanent ceasefire\, an arms embargo and continue to network for Palestine.\n\n\n\nThis Friday\, we also demand the immediate release of Mahmoud Khalil\, whom the authorities took. On the evening of March 8\, 2025\, Columbia University student activist Mahmoud Khalil was detained by the Department of Homeland Security. The arrest comes on the heels of the Department of State’s announcement that it plans to deport students affiliated with pro-Palestine protests. Mahmoud\, who is Palestinian\, is a lawful permanent resident of the U.S.\n\n\n\nAdd your name to demand the immediate release of Palestinian student activist Mahmoud Khalil from DHS detention and a reversal to Columbia University’s protocol permitting ICE on campus without a warrant.\n\n\nhttps://actionnetwork.org/…/demand-the-immediate…\n\n\n\nWe gather to continue to advocate for freedom\, equality\, and justice for Palestinians and beyond.\n\n\n\nThank you to the Olympia Fellowship of Reconciliation for organizing the vigils and welcoming us. DESCRIPTION:Join Palestine Action of South Sound (PASS) in a brief panel discussion and Q&A about developments in the West Bank since the Gaza Ceasefire was announced. One panelist will be talking about personal experiences in the West Bank. Another will give a short overview of the history of Israeli interventions in the West Bank\, Palestinian refugee camps and the relationship between Gaza and the West Bank. \nMasks will be provided. Feel free to bring a snack! \nThis is free and open to the public. \nPASS has a education event every third Monday of the month\, has a general meeting every first Monday of the month.  The next general meeting is April 7.
