DESCRIPTION:The peace vigils for Palestine continue weekly in Olympia.  This week we gather for the 35th week since Israel began it’s most recent attack on Gaza. \nAs conditions become more dire in Gaza it’s increasingly important to remain visible for Palestinian rights. Join us advocating for peace and a permanent ceasefire\, and as we demand that Rafah is a “red line” for President Biden and that as a country we stop sending weapons to Israel that are used to attack Palestinians. \nThanks to Olympia Fellowship of Reconciliation for hosting these vigils and inviting us to share this space as we work for peace.

DESCRIPTION:Palestine Action of the South Sound (PASS) invites you to the Olympia Ballroom for a night of festivities! From 5:00-9:00PM the event is jammed packed with activities\, performances\, speeches\, and food. You’ll have an opportunity to make donations that have a direct impact through Rachel Corrie Foundation by purchasing the zine or by making direct contributions\, and connect with members of the community. \nThis family-friendly event is open to the public.  A fee of $10 to $15 of the door would be appreciated\, but no one will be turned away for lack of money.  For your health and the health of those around you masks are encouraged. \nPlease RSVP here. \nInspired by a sold out benefit concert headlined by Bikini Kill on behalf of the Rachel Corrie Foundation and Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund\, the PASS Outreach​​​​​​​ and Education Committee released a zine called Movement Mag in conjunction with a Kimya Dawson event in February.​​​​ Movement Mag is a project bringing together different voices and perspectives within the local movement for Palestine. Movement Mag documents the process of movement building\, collectivizes learning\, and provides a space for deep engagement and reflection. \nThe first issue of Movement Mag was a call into the void\, to see who was out there thinking about Palestine. With this second issue\, Movement Mag is saying\, “we found each other and are now asking”: \n\nWhere are we at?\nHow did we get here?\nWhere are we going?\nHow do we get there?

DESCRIPTION:Come join us as we gather to continue to hold a peace vigil for Palestinians in downtown Olympia.  We’ll have signs demanding a permanent ceasefire and an end to genocide\, or bring your own peace sign. \nThis is the 38th week we’ve gathered since the most recent assault on Gaza began last October.  As the situation for Palestinians in Gaza become more dire\, and attacks on the West Bank continue\, one way to make a difference is show and and say this is not okay. \nThanks the Olympia Fellowship of Reconciliation for continuously holding these vigils\, and inviting us to share the space as we all work for peace. \n
