Interning with the Rachel Corrie Foundation (RCF) provides a meaningful way to work towards peace and justice and gain a variety of skills. If you are interested in one of the positions below, please complete our Intern Interest Form online. Upon review, we will contact you for an interview. We are looking for passionate and reliable students with strong organizational skills who, among their specific responsibilities, are able to attend weekly staff meetings. Our internships are available for a single quarter. However, preference is given to students who commit to interning for multiple quarters.

Peace Works Coordinator Intern
Help the Rachel Corrie Foundation organize, promote, and evaluate our 12th Annual Peace Works! The Peace Works Coordinator/Intern will work with the Peace Works Planning Committee and Program Manager to help plan for RCF’s 2017 Peace Works event. The ideal intern will have experience or very strong interest in event development and management, outreach, communications, meeting facilitation, working in a committee, and will be available on weekends and evenings for some meetings and functions. You may also have the opportunity to coordinate one-time events (visiting speakers, book tours, emergency protests, etc.) or other ongoing events through your internship (Olympia Spring Arts Walk, March 16th, etc.).
Marketing/Communications Intern
The Marketing & Communications Intern will gain experience in maintaining and developing social media strategies by supporting Rachel Corrie Foundation personnel with their marketing materials, various communication tools, and other educational materials that support our tabling efforts as well as online platforms including Constant Contact, WordPress, Facebook and Twitter. The intern will work directly with the Administrative Manager and Public Policy/Communications Manager to support RCF programs and communications.
BDS Community Outreach Internship
As a BDS intern you’ll work to educate our community on the growing Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement. Help build understanding and support within different sectors of the local and global communities and tie our efforts in with Rachel’s story.
Fundraising & Development Intern
Fundraising and development skills are a valuable asset for anyone planning to enter the nonprofit sector. Help the Rachel Corrie Foundation staff and Development Committee develop fundraising initiatives, strategize a long-term development plan, and learn the ins and outs of donor management.
Non-Profit Administration Internship
The Non-Profit Administration Intern will gain non-profit management experience by supporting Rachel Corrie Foundation personnel with office communications, data entry, organization of educational materials, filing, maintaining office hours, organizing tabling outreach, volunteer and intern recruitment, recording committee meeting minutes, and a variety of ever-emerging office tasks.
Help the Rachel Corrie Foundation organize, promote, and evaluate the numerous educational events we hold and cosponsor each year. The Events Management Intern will work with the Program/Project committee and Program Manager to research event possibilities; use criteria and protocols for prioritizing and responding to event options; develop event goals and target audiences; and plan, promote, carryout and evaluate events.
