Would you like to see a mural in Olympia that commemorates the special relationship that our town shares with the Palestinian city of Rafah, in the Gaza Strip? Consider getting involved with the Olympia-Rafah mural project!
Artist and activist Susan Greene, a professor at the San Francisco Art Institute, will be working with a group of volunteers to plan and paint a mural in downtown Olympia.
Your participation is needed to help develop ideas and themes for the mural, put together a fund-raising plan, and scout for available wall space. Five families — the Corries and four Palestinian familes — are plaintiffs in a federal lawsuit against Illinois-based Caterpillar, Inc. over violations of international and state law. The case can at first seem confusing to those who have not been following the issue. ,
