Inaugural Gaza Committee Meeting

April 10, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

“I continue to believe that my home, Olympia, could gain a lot and offer a lot by deciding to make a commitment to Rafah…”

Rachel Corrie, February 7, 2003

On Monday, April 10th, as the people of Gaza continue their struggle for freedom, we will mark Rachel’s 38th birthday and the 14th anniversary of her journey to the Middle East with an inaugural meeting of our RCF Gaza Committee. Join us at 6:30 p.m., at The Olympia Center, Room 101, 222 Columbia St. NW, in downtown Olympia. Rachel Corrie brought us all closer to Gaza! The Rachel Corrie Foundation continues to be intimately connected to this place – a strip of land less than a quarter the size of Thurston County and home to nearly two million Palestinians (over 65% under the age of 25). We will explore the possibilities for learning about Gaza and strengthening our connections with the children, youth and families who live there. Bring your questions and ideas about how we in Olympia can make a difference for Gaza and for our own community, as well. All are welcome!
Have questions?  Want to get involved, but can’t make the Monday meeting?
